Children of Men, the TV Show
March 27, 2008 – 7:14 pm by AndrewRemember Children of Men? It’s being made into a TV series. There are reasons to think this could be good. It was a great movie, with an interesting world that can be fleshed out. And it’s being done by David Eick who does Battlestar. On the other hand, Ron Moore has always seemed to be the soul of Battlestar, and Eick did Bionic Woman which is apparently still awaiting 5 votes on IMDB. Here’s more from SciFi Wire:
It’s really taking root more in the origins of the novels in that it will focus on the cultural movement in which young people become the society’s utter focus. Much like our culture, whenever Lindsay Lohan does something [and] it becomes the headline of every news show, it’s about how, when you don’t have a responsibility to the next generation and you’re free to do whatever you want, where do you draw the line?
That sounds like an interesting premise. It definitely has potential. Which is good because with the loss of Battlestar and the Wire, there’s not much worth watching on TV anymore.

Did Eick have anything thing to do with the new Knight Rider?
