Hillary Likens Herself to Rocky…ok

In a speech today Hillary Clinton compared herself to Rocky Balboa, specifically she said that ending her campaign now would be as if:

Rocky Balboa had gotten halfway up those art museum steps and said, ‘Well, I guess that’s about far enough.’ Let me tell you something, when it comes to finishing a fight, Rocky and I have a lot in common. I never quit. I never give up. And neither do the American people. [source]

Um, senator…Rocky lost. To the black guy. Sure he had a ton of fightin’ spirit, and he overcame a lot, but in the end he lost the fight. I hope for her sake this is some sort of April fools joke, or that some staffer points this out to her before she actually reads those lines (they’re from prepared remarks). But maybe it is an apt comparison. She sure wont give up, and she’s come farther in American politics than any woman ever has. And in the end despite all her accomplishments, after a long and bloody and spirited fight, she will lose. To the black guy.
